Take a Kid Ice Fishing 2022

Well good news!

TAKE A KID ICE FISHING
Saturday February 12th
Located on School Section Lake just south of Dousman.
8:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Free family event.

There will be a free shuttle taking people from downtown Dousman at the municipal parking lot across from the fire department to the lake. That shuttle will be running back and forth throughout the day from 8 till 1 pm.

Anyone under the age of 16 does not need a fishing license for this event. If you are over the age of 16 we encourage you to get a one day fishing license for only $8 for Wisconsin residents. More information can be found at the following link.

We provide everything: bait, poles, tip-ups, minnow buckets, ice holes drilled, and guides to teach you how to fish. We also offer a hot lunch and drinks out on the ice. Bring the whole family!

Be sure to dress warm, especially waterproof boots. Dress as you would for sledding or warmer. “Pull sleds” are a fun way for little ones to get around on the ice. Don’t forget your sense of wonder!
